Guest Lecture, Bauhaus Museum Weimar
The lecture Museum of Art Solidarity is concerned with illuminating webs of artistic solidarity and translating the emancipatory potential of such practices into possibilities for decolonizing Western museums. Linking the under-researched cultural exchanges of the non-aligned countries, manifested, for instance, in seminal editions of exhibitions, symposiums, biennials and museum collections too, with current postcolonial debates in Germany, such as, those regarding the recently opened Humboldt Forum, the research opens up new perspectives for pluriversal knowledge productions. The compendium of research discourses manifests in the form of a virtual Museum of Art Solidarity, involving photographs, objects, drawings, paintings, archival documents, maps, press-releases, videos, and interviews.
